Your study revolution

Zéro Bachotage

Why this book is going to change the way you study.

Hours spent reading, re-reading, annotating, highlighting, making cards. And still, none of it stays.

Why?

Everyone has their own strengths, their own way of learning. But nobody ever taught you to find your strengths or your style, nobody gave you a method that matches what the research on memory actually shows, and certainly nobody showed you how to put the two together.

This book starts from there. It took a tool that works, improved it, and gives you the basics of your own user's manual on top.

And that is not all...

Why understanding yourself comes first

School shows you only 2 of the 9 ways of learning.

Let's go and find yours.

Learning like someone else slows you down and works against you. Learning with your own strengths makes everything flow.

Zéro Bachotage helps you spot which of the 9 ways of learning are really yours, and understand how the way you work shapes the conditions in which you actually learn.

A method that works, and that we improved

The Cornell method is not a gimmick.

Developed at Cornell University in the 1950s, it is still taught today in hundreds of universities around the world, because it respects the way memory works best.

This guide explains all of it: the science of forgetting, the 5 steps of active revision, and how to adapt the method to your subject, your schedule, your way of learning, and your deeper nature.

Stop re-reading. Start remembering.

And that is not all

7 bonuses included, ready to print

What each part changes

Eight parts, in the order you will actually use them

You don't have to read it all in order. Start with the first two, and tonight you already take notes differently.

The Cornell method

You re-read your notes and nothing stays. That is normal: this method was never built for learning, only for not losing anything during class. Here you see what changes in the 20 minutes after a lesson.

Your page, your tool

A well made notebook, and you know what to write where. No more blank page that fills up without ever getting organised. The 3 zones, in the order you will really use them.

The next level

A philosophy essay and a maths equation are not worked the same way. Here the method adapts to each subject, not the other way round.

The body first

You revise for hours, you barely drink, you eat anything, you sleep too little during exam week. Your space, your breathing, your sleep, what you eat before a session: it counts as much as the method.

How you learn

School shows you only 2 of the 9 ways of learning. Here you get to see yours.

Human Design and Cornell

You never needed to work like everyone else. Here you find out what the way you work changes in the way you revise.

The system that lasts

A plan you drop after 3 days is no use. Here, a routine that holds up over a real, busy week.

The long run

Paper or digital, flashcards or not: how this year's notes still serve you next year.

What it changes, concretely

Not a vague promise. What you actually do, before and after.

BeforeYou re-read your highlighting and hope it sinks in eventually.
→
AfterYou cover your notes, you say them out loud, and in five minutes you know what you really have.
BeforeYou cram until 2 in the morning the night before the exam.
→
AfterYour check-up phase started three weeks earlier. The night before, you review for twenty minutes and you sleep.
BeforeYou drink your third coffee to make it to the end of the session.
→
AfterYou know what actually holds your focus up, without leaning on caffeine.
BeforeYour notebook is an archive you never open again after class.
→
AfterYour left column becomes a bank of questions you reuse at every revision.
And after the book

Zéro Bachotage is only a way in.

If the method speaks to you, you will find on cornellpremium.com:

  • The Cornell Premium notebooks, with the 5 steps built straight into the structure of the pages, an active contents page and progress thermometers.
  • The carnet de découverte, to explore your 9 ways of learning and how you work, in detail.
  • Réussis Comme Toi, your personalised guide, built from your chart and your answers to a questionnaire.

Each tool stands on its own. You can start with the book alone, and move further into the ecosystem only if you feel the need.

Before you decide

The questions we get asked

I'm in higher education. Is this book for me?
The book is written for secondary school and university students. The method and the memory principles do not change with the level. What changes are the examples and the subjects.
Do I need the Cornell Premium notebook for this to work?
No. The method works on any sheet of paper, and the book says so from the start. It also explains what the notebook adds if you want to go further, but nothing obliges you to buy it to use the method.
The Human Design chapter, what is it based on?
It is a self-knowledge tool that the book invites you to try, not a science validated in the usual sense. The book says so itself: it is validated by experience, not by belief.
There is a chapter on essential oils. Is this a method book or a wellbeing book?
Zéro Bachotage is a method book. One chapter also covers your workspace, your breathing, your sleep, nutrition and high quality essential oils, for information, not as medical advice.

Your way of learning exists. This book is here to help you find it.
